Vicarious Trauma in the Work Environment: Strategies for Resilience

The Honorable Judge Ann Celine Walsh and the 18th Judicial Circuit Court Family Violence Coordinating Council’s (FVCC) Courts and Law Enforcement Committee invite you to the June 26th training, Vicarious Trauma in the Work Environment: Strategies for Resilience. The flyer contains additional information, including an Eventbrite link for easy registration.

This 3-hour, free virtual training will be led by Carrie Steiner, Psy.D., Founder of the First Responders Wellness Center. She is a 13 year veteran of the Chicago Police Department, Crisis Intervention Team Leader, Peer Support Member and Chicago Police Academy instructor.

This training, for direct service providers, will identify and address vicarious trauma, describe protective factors and explore ways to build resilience. Application has been made for a variety of CEUs as listed on the flyer. We thank the 18th Judicial Circuit Court Department of Probation and Court Services for their partnership and financial support of this training.

If you have questions or need additional information, please contact FVCC Coordinator, Holly Smith, at Holly.Smith@18thjudicial.org.
